Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology marked by a symmetric, peripheral polyarthritis. Being a systemic disease, RA can result in a variety of extra-articular manifestations. ANA’s occur both in systemic and organ specific autoimmune diseases showing positivity in Rheumatoid arthritis, Scleroderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, Mixed connective tissue disease and CREST syndrome.
