
SGOT; ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSFERASE (AST)
This enzyme is found in many organs including the liver. Though nonspecific, it is used to detect and monitor liver disease and other medical conditions. This is a more sensitive test in alcoholic liver disease than SGPT.
