TRIGLYCERIDES, SERUM
Increased triglyceride levels are indicative of metabolic abnormality and along with elevated cholesterol are considered a risk factor for atherosclerotic disease. High levels may be seen in Biliary obstruction, Diabetes, Nephrotic syndrome, Renal failure, Metabolic endocrinopathies and may be medication induced.
